Cooperative Law
The current Cooperative Law is:

OPERATIONS
In the cooperative law, it is explained in the existing articles relating to guidelines in running cooperative organizations in Indonesia. every cooperative organization should be guided by the cooperative law in carrying out its activities. starting from carrying out the principles of cooperative principles, the value of cooperative values, and also other provisions contained in the cooperative law.
As a cooperative movement, we should understand the following definitions related to cooperatives:
1. A cooperative is a business entity whose members are individuals or cooperative legal entities by basing its activities on the principles of cooperatives as well as a people's economic movement based on the principle of kinship.
2. Cooperatives are everything related to cooperative life.
3. Primary Cooperatives are cooperatives established by and consisting of individual members.
4. Secondary cooperatives are cooperatives established by cooperatives as members.
5. The Cooperative Movement is the entire cooperative organization and cooperative activities that are integrated towards the achievement of common goals of cooperatives.

Cooperatives are based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution and are based on the principle of kinship
Cooperatives aim to advance the welfare of members in particular and society in general and participate in building the national economic order in order to create an advanced, just and prosperous society based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution.

The functions and roles of cooperatives are:
a. build and develop the potential and economic capacity of members in particular and society in general to improve their economic and social welfare;
b. participate actively in efforts to enhance the quality of human life and society;
c. strengthening the people's economy as the basis for the strength and resilience of the national economy with cooperatives as the backbone;
d. trying to realize and develop a national economy which is a joint effort based on the principles of kinship and economic democracy

Cooperatives implement the following cooperative principles:
1. membership is voluntary and open;
2. management is carried out in a democratic manner;
3. distribution of the remaining income from the business shall be carried out fairly in proportion to the amount of business services of each member;
4. limited remuneration for capital;
5. independence.
6. cooperative education;
7. Cooperation between operations.

We as a cooperative movement should understand and live and practice the principles of cooperatives in running a cooperative organization, so that the cooperative movement in Indonesia will be more prosperous.
This cooperative law is a reference for the cooperative movement in carrying out its duties to develop cooperatives in Indonesia.
The cooperative law number 25 of 1992 as a guideline for the cooperative movement must be carried out as a whole in order to be able to make cooperatives in Indonesia more advanced.
