The absence of mainstream media over the issue of women's labor and encouraged the birth of a community radio FM Marsinah women workers; of female workers for welfare, equality and environmental sustainability. A community radio is run and maintained by a community of women workers in KBN Cakung, North Jakarta.

Marsinah FM radio which was founded in 2012 and then wants to develop itself into an online radio in order to reach a wider female workers for mutual aid and solidarity to the difficulties faced by women workers, both as workers and as women.

In addition to venturing into online radio, FM Marsinah determined to develop a website that contains news Marsinah FM audio, video and text (sms, and the article) of and by women workers. Hopefully, with the presence of FM Marsinah as online radio and the website can broaden the knowledge, information on the labor rights of women, by women workers themselves. Meaning participation which is the main strut Marsinah community FM radio.
