Step By Step Guide To Install Vehicle Defect Checker using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. The daily Walk Around Check App allows you to note down or photograph any defects that you come across when conducting the daily Vehicle check, or alternatively recording a ‘nil’ defect. Upon completion of the check, the results are submitted to a back office reporting system.

This app is free to install, but there is a small charge attached to the service provided by the ‘back office’ maintenance system which it is integrated with.

According to the VOSA guideline book ‘Guide to maintaining Roadworthiness’:
1.‘Drivers are responsible for the condition of their vehicles when in use on the road and must, therefore, be able to report any defects or symptoms of defects that could prevent the safe operation of vehicles.’
2. ‘A daily walkround check must be undertaken by a responsible person before a vehicle is used.’
