Talking about IES Federal Republic of Germany dates back to 1981, when our city was favored with the creation of the Higher School for Professional Education - ESEP - Federal Republic of Germany. It was a first experience in Chiclayo of having a higher education center of a technical variant, which would contribute much with qualified labor for job performance, contributing to the economic and social development of the Region.
It is no longer ESEP, it is now an Institute of Higher Education. 39 years have passed and the mystique remains the same. The initial objectives of training for production are maintained, but with new elements that make this training a professional specialization.
Years have passed, people come and go, but the traces remain. Many generations have paraded through our classrooms, young people in search of learning and experiences and now they are professionals who contribute with their effort to the economic growth of our country. And in the midst of this bustle, in the midst of so many vicissitudes, we have been able to overcome the ups and downs thanks to the spirit of struggle, tenacity, and goodwill on the part of those of us who have the mission of moving our institution forward.
Since its inauguration on October 17, 1981 as ESEP, the now Institute of Higher Education Federal Republic of Germany records its history in the Lambayecan pages. The changes and transformations in our Institute are constant, making technological higher education, imparted from our environments, to position itself and be very well represented in Peru.
Now we can be pleased to show the progress we have made, important changes in all aspects: academic and administrative, social and human; in the improvement of infrastructure and equipment and in the growth of our presence in the regional and national community.
It is a pride to point out that our Institute of Higher Education has become one of the best in all of Peru.
It is not an easy task, but when you have good will, and above all the support of those who trust a good intention, anything is possible to achieve. However, much remains to be done.
Our advances have allowed us to be recognized nationally and internationally, proof of this is having obtained countless awards and nominations consecutively:
• Peruvian Company of the Year.
• Ibero-American Award for Educational Excellence, awarded by the Ibero-American Council in Honor of Educational Quality, from Panama.
• South American Quality Award, represented by the Incentive Trophy, from the Brazilian Association for Quality Incentives - ABIQUA.
• Sapientiae Award, from the Organizacão Das Américas for A Excelência Educativa (ODAEE), headquartered in Brazil.
• Éxito Awards, from The Latin Business Organization.
• The Bizz Awards Peru business award, by The World Confederation of Bussinesses, from the city of Houston, Texas.
• And many others: "The Bizz", "Global Award for Excellence in Health Education IOCIM", "Excellence Award", "Best of the Year", "Testimony of Excellence", "Latin American Quality Awards", etc.
This small summary symbolizes our pride ... And even more so now that we have obtained, in December 2019, the Institutional Licensing by the Ministry of Education, being the second public technological institute nationwide to achieve this goal.
