Since its foundation on February 2, 1939, Imparcial sought to be more than a local newspaper, because around Presidente Prudente other municipalities flourished, today there are 54 in the jurisdiction of the 10th Administrative Region. This sheet is present in 28 of these cities.
It was the awareness that Prudente, as the host city, would not prosper if these communities remained isolated, without a platform for their demands. At that time, the newspaper was already anticipating what would take shape and importance, decades later, in Europe and the USA: the regionalized newspaper.
The vehicle has survived the country's political and economic crises for all these decades, relying exclusively on its ad revenues and paid circulation. In addition, he gained his independence, and is therefore not tied to political and economic groups. As a result of this stance, it is now a creditor of regional credibility.
Also throughout this time, this sheet has undergone several advances in technology, from the use of the mobile type on a flat machine, to modern rotary presses and computerization. Even inside, it has a modern design, comparable to the major Brazilian newspapers, with national circulation. In addition, it has the largest circulation in the western region of the State of São Paulo.
Together with the broad regional news, in the various editorials, we feed our readers with national and international content from news agencies and a rich staff of collaborators, columnists and writers. With them, we guarantee the reader a multiplicity of opinions.
