Asahi Shimbun “Paper Viewer” dedicated app is now available!​

This is the official Asahi Shimbun app that allows you to read newspapers such as morning and evening editions in the same layout as the paper.​

◇◆Type of paper page◆◇ ​

・90 days worth of newspapers such as morning edition, evening edition, Saturday be, GLOBE, etc. published by the main and branch offices in Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Western (Kyushu), and Hokkaido (for premium course, double course, and corporate members. The paper viewer course is 14 days worth)

- 90 days worth of regional issues published in the location of the prefectural office and some other areas out of all prefectures except Okinawa (for premium courses, double courses, and corporate members; the paper viewer course is 7 days worth)

・You can read all of the above pages regardless of where you live.​

◇◆Features available◆◇ ​

[Up to 5000 files can be saved]​

If you find an article that interests you, please press the "Save" button. Up to 5000 articles can be saved. You can write your reasons for saving, your impressions, etc. in a "memo" and save it along with the article.​

If you want to search for a lot of saved articles later, the "tag" function is useful. If you register your own label words, you can paste them on saved articles, making it easier to narrow down your search later.

[Choose an easy-to-read format]​

You can read a paper offline by opening and downloading the paper you want to read in advance from the "Choose a paper" screen, or by turning on the "Automatic download via Wi-Fi" function on the "Settings" screen. You can read the paper without stress even when you are on the move or outdoors where the communication environment is unstable.​

You can also use the "Text Article" feature to read texts horizontally. Opening a text article from the paper and then returning to the paper after reading it is an experience that can only be achieved with a paper viewer app (not available for some papers).​

When you press the "Page" button at the bottom right of the screen, navigation for each page of the paper opens, allowing you to easily move to the page you want to read.​

In addition, on the front page of the morning and evening editions of the Tokyo headquarters edition, there is an ``index'' that serves as a gateway to the day's major news, as well as links to articles related to the top news. Easily access key articles and related articles.​

[Easy to view even on small screens]​

By pinching or opening the screen with two fingers, you can reduce or enlarge the page display. It is useful not only when reading the main text, but also when looking at photos and charts.​

By double-tapping the screen with one finger, you can brightly highlight only the articles you touch. You can concentrate on the article you want to read, and you can "save" and "text article" operations with one tap (not available for some newspapers).​

◇◆Courses where you can use the paper viewer◆◇ ​

Premium Course/Double Course: In addition to being able to view 90 days of the main newspaper and regional pages, you can also use the save function (not available for some newspapers).

Paper viewer course: You can view 14 days worth of the main paper and 7 days worth of regional pages (save function is not available).

*Cannot be used with basic or standard courses.
