Asahi Shimbun Digital "paper viewer" dedicated app appeared!​

This is the official Asahi Shimbun Digital app that allows you to read newspapers such as morning and evening editions in the same layout as the paper.​

◇ Type of publication page ◇ ​

・90 days worth of newspapers such as morning/evening/Saturday be/GLOBE published by Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Western (Kyushu), and Hokkaido branches (premium course, double course, corporate members) (Paper viewer course is for 14 days.)

・Among all prefectures except Okinawa, 90 days' worth of regional pages issued at the location of the prefectural office and some other regional pages (for premium course, double course, and corporate members. Paper viewer course: 7 days minutes)

- Regardless of where you live, you can read all the papers above.​

◇◆Available functions◆◇ ​

[Up to 5000 files can be saved]​

By pressing the "Scrap" button, you can save the article to the "Scrapbook". Up to 5000 articles can be saved. You can write the reason for saving and impressions in "Memo" and save it with the article.​

If you want to search for many saved articles later, the "tag" function is convenient. If you register your own label words, you can attach them to saved articles, making it easier to narrow down and search later.

[Choose an easy-to-read form]​

If you open and download the page you want to read from the "Select page" screen in advance, or set the "Automatic download via Wi-Fi" function on the "Settings" screen, you can read the page offline. You will be able to. You can read the paper without stress even when you are on the move or outdoors where the communication environment is unstable.​

In addition, you can use the "text article" function to read sentences horizontally. The experience of opening a text article from a page and returning to the page after reading is possible only with the page viewer app (not available for some pages).​

Pressing the "page" button at the bottom right of the screen opens the navigation for each page of the paper, allowing you to easily move to the page you want to read.​

In addition, on the first page of the morning and evening editions of the Tokyo head office, links are provided to the "index", which is the gateway to the main news of the day, and related articles of the top news. Easy access to featured and related articles.​

[Easier to see even on a small screen]​

By pinching or opening the screen with two fingers, you can zoom in or out on the page. It is convenient not only when reading the text, but also when looking at photographs and charts.​

By double-tapping the screen with one finger, you can brightly highlight only the touched article. You can concentrate on the article you want to read, and you will be able to operate "scrap" and "text article" with one tap (not available for some papers).​

◇ Course where you can use the paper viewer ◇ ​

Premium Course/Double Course: In addition to being able to view the main newspaper and regional pages for 90 days, you can also use the scrap function (not available for some pages).

Paper viewer course: You can view 14 days of the main paper and 7 days of the local paper (the scrap function cannot be used).

*Cannot be used with Basic Course or Standard Course.
