TOURISM IN THE MAESTRAT

Enjoy Maestrat & go !, a new way of getting to know the interior territory of the Maestrat in Castellón, with a schedule of events and fun games with which you will learn.

Maestrat, a territory with a uniqueness and privileged ethnographic wealth, is located between the Mediterranean coast and the Els Ports region. It is made up of ten charming municipalities: Sant Jordi, Xert, Vilar de Canes, Traiguera, Tírig, Sant Mateu, Rosell, la Jana, Cervera del Maestre and Canet lo Roig.

This land is a living reflection of Mediterranean culture in all its aspects. A place steeped in history and with an exceptional natural, agricultural and gastronomic heritage.

The uniqueness of its corners is one of its most distinguishing features. Its rugged nature and its landscape dotted with ancient olive trees and carob trees draw panoramas full of beauty, which are mixed with a great ethnographic richness and invite you to discover the footprint of other civilizations and to practice outdoor activities.

When you download the application, you will be able to choose between two hikers to accompany you on your adventure through the Maestrat, in which you will discover the soul of this territory through cultural resources (Ànima Cultural), active tourism (Ànima Activa) and gastronomic (Ànima Gastro).

In this application you will find three types of functionalities: a map with points of interest, an events calendar and a game.

2D Map: in which the tourist Points of Interest (POIs) and the information resources that complement the visit are located.

Events calendar: in which you will be able to know what happens in the Maestrat throughout the year, in addition, you will be able to know the closest ones on the map thanks to the geolocation.

Game: through a game in 3 dimensions (3D), the visit to the Maestrat will become very entertaining, where you will have to face challenges with augmented reality, answer questions, take selfies, all walking and enjoying the territory with help of this augmented guide.
