There have been many scholars who compiled and enjoyed the history and biography of the Prophet Muhammad. And among the popular ones is the maulid compiled by Sayyid Ja'far bin Hasan al Barzanji (1128 H / 1716 AD) which contains a biography, ahwal and characteristics of the prophet Muhammad SAW.

The Complete Book of Maulid al-Barzanji has an original title named "Iqd al-Jawahir" (In Arabic, it means a necklace of gems). But then in the midst of society this book is better known as Maulid al-Barzanji who is attributed to the name of its author

This book is widely read by Muslims in the world. This book has been translated into various languages. Even some scholars have made sharah and comments for this book.
