The Parent App is a companion mobile app for parents whose children are registered with any service who has signed up on the Flexibility Pathway toolkit. When parents download the app it enables the service to streamline its booking process.

Registered Parents have flexibility to book sessions to suit their needs.

When a service signs up to the Flexibility Pathway Toolkit they can invite parents into the app to allow them to book their children into the sessions that they provide. Parents can then use the app to book childcare to suit their needs and the needs of the service from anywhere between one hour and a full day at a time enabling them to receive more affordable childcare, only paying for the childcare they need.

Parents can book with ease, booking and managing multiple sessions. They can view all upcoming sessions as far in advance as they have booked, add notes for the nursery and book from several childcare providers for all their children.

Paying is easy too as parents can pay for their bookings using their funded hour entitlement, up front payments via credit/debit card (if set up by the service) or have their total added to a monthly invoice from their childcare service.

The app helps parents to manage their child’s medical, dietary and personal needs, designate trusted adults to pick up/drop off their children from their sessions and view progress reports from their child’s nursery.

There is a waiting list function which allows parents to remarket their unwanted bookings so that someone else can take them on. They can then decide whether they want to cancel. This can also help prevent the nursery having unused spaces.
