Step By Step Guide To Play VR Sponza exploration using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. This app is a technical demonstration of a partial VR room-experience, using a smartphone inside a Cardboard headset. In addition of the orientation, we use the accelerometer detects some movements, like walking or running on the spot, jumping and ducking.

The user should not move around in the real world, only perform movements on the spot (walk/run/jump in place). The app creator takes no responsibility on consequences of using this app, including but not limited to wounds or damages caused to the user's environment. Please be aware of your surrounding, and make sure not to move around.

The 3D scene is the Sponza Atrium 3D model, created by artist Marko Dabrovic. Only one of its textures is included, to make the app smaller (thus some parts will look incorrectly textured).
