This application was created by a speech therapist to practice recognizing the nearby French sounds (sounds like f / v, w / b, k / g, s / z, t / d, c / d).
These sounds have the distinction of being very close. An earache trained to recognize the confused. This is called auditory confusion.
If your child writes "p" instead of "b" is wrong because it means the difference between these two sounds!
This is not a hearing problem, but rather a lack of processing by the brain.

This application allows regular training at home, on vacation, drive to train his brain to distinguish these sounds close.

With this app you can:
- Choose the sounds you want to work (all the French auditory confusions are accessible). Start with simple sounds and combine them with others to increase the difficulty ( "pr", "fl", ...)
- Choose the sequence of sounds to work: it may hear the sounds one by one and then, when you are well trained, choose to recognize sounds after 2 or add training on his end of a word
- Start training with the mode "help". In this mode, a graphic symbol tells you what its going to take to prepare you better listen.

It is recommended to use this application in connection with a speech therapy followed to adapt the job to the best.
This application does not claim to remove confusions hearing alone, but just hope to be a little help in the way that will lead you to not confuse the sounds!

For those who want to go further, some information (sorry, it's art!) On auditory confusion.
The sounds from the larynx (vocal cords come into vibration under the effect of air from the lungs) and are shaped by the mouth (tongue, teeth).
In French, there are 6 pairs of sounds (t / d, f / v, w / b, k / g, c / d, s / z) special.
For example, to achieve a "f" or "v", placed his mouth in the same position. The only difference between the two sounds is that in the case of a "v", the vocal cords vibrate for a while "f", they do not vibrate.
To convince you, put your hand on your neck (around the Adam's apple in men. Ladies, it is in one place, without the apple) and deliver a "v". You will feel a slight vibration under your fingers. Now do the same with an "f". More vibration!
This vibration is a low frequency sound (200-300 Hz).
The same phenomenon exists for other pairs of sounds.
Called "voiced sound" sounds using the vocal cords (such as "b", "d", "j", "g", "z" and "v").
Called "non-voiced sounds" other ( "p", "t", "ch", "k", "s" and "f").
If a person does not notice ... it confuses the "f" and "v".

The objective of this application is to train the brain to be attentive to this low frequency sound to better distinguish sounds.
