The mind has to be disciplined, educated, prepared; for men are to render service to God, in various ways that are not in harmony with the innate inclination. The principles that are as high as the heavens and that span all eternity are to be understood in their relationship to daily life.

No science equates to that which develops the character of God in the life of the student. There are tendencies to evil, hereditary and cultivated, that must be overcome.

Appetite and passion are to be brought under the control of the Holy Spirit. It is the duty of every Christian to develop the mind. God takes men as they are, and educates them for his service, if they want to give themselves to him.

The Spirit of God, received into the soul, quickens all its faculties. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the mind, unreservedly consecrated to God, develops harmoniously, and is strengthened to understand and fulfill what God requires.

The science of a pure, whole, and consistent Christian life is obtained by studying the Word of God. Men are to become subjects of the kingdom of Christ.

So spiritual is the character of God's work on the human heart that receives it that it makes each one a new creature without destroying or weakening any ability or capacity that God gave to man. Every morning consecrate yourself, soul, body and spirit to God. A person's talents are most useful only when they are brought under the complete control of the Spirit of God.

Knowledge and science must be vitalized by the Spirit of God in order to serve the noblest purposes. Then everyone will worship the God of science. When Christ abides in the heart by faith, we will be wise in the sight of God.
Because we were bought by the Son of God, we are his property, and we should all be educated in the school of Christ. Teachers have to deal with human minds, and they are responsible before God for impressing upon those minds the need to know Christ as a personal Savior.

The mind should be carefully and wisely taught to dwell on biblical truth. The result of education should be to enable us to understand the voice of God. God's demands must be stamped on the conscience. They must recognize that all the powers of their mind and body are gifts of God and that they must be kept in the best possible condition to serve Him.

Good health, healthy minds, and pure hearts are not considered of prime importance in homes. Many parents do not educate their children to be useful and to fulfill their duties, therefore in schools we should be concerned that children are educated for a life to come, that it is formatted on this earth, it can serve us for the new world
