Ericsson Device Analytics (EDA) is a wireless connectivity performance measurements application.

The connected device sends performance measurements, which are in fact the real-time geographical location correlated with radio-related and/or network speed test information, into a central database in the cloud to which an analytics engine is connected. The collected data can be used as an input for optimizing the network, to secure optimal quality of service.

Measurements execution is triggered from EDA Web portal. In more detail, EDA user can perform periodic speed test measurement scenarios (policies) (Downlink, Uplink, and Latency) towards EDA dedicated measurement servers. EDA app can extract radio & sensor information (Signal Trace Policy). When the measurement is completed, EDA App will generate a measurement report and send the measurement log to the data streamer. Finally, the measurement data can be in various ways visualized (geomapping, speed plotters, bar charts) via the GUI EDA Visualizer hosted on EDA Web portal.
