This application details the movements of the moon through the 12 signs of the zodiac and pinpoints the times when the moon's influence is active, or Void-of-course. It also shows the moon's phase and the astrological signs the moon goes through each day.

The Moon takes approximately 29.5 days to traverse through all 12 signs and spends around 2.5 days in each sign.

Whether you understand astrology or not, it must be realised that the moon, being our closest planetary body, has probably the most influence in our lives.

I'm not going to give lessons on astrology here, its a huge subject and the influence that the moon will have on you as it traverses each sign will depend very much on your own natal birth chart.

However, I will explain what Void-of-Course is, because it affects everyone, no matter what their birth sign is.

As the moon traverses through each sign, it makes aspects (conjunction, trine, square, opposition, and sextile) with the other planets in the solar system. This causes the moon's influence on people to be coloured by the influence of the planet it is aspecting.

However, there is a period of time, between the moon making its last major aspect with the other planetary bodies and entering a new sign, when the moon is said to be Void-of-Course.

The period of Void-of-Course can last for anything from a few minutes, to a couple of days.

During the Void of Course period it can be difficult to make decisions, and if major decisions need to be made, they very often turn out to be the wrong decisions. Arguments can start for no apparent reason, and it can be difficult to get along with other people at this time.

Void-of-Course is great for catching up with housework, getting rid of clutter and generally tidying up loose ends. Its also a good time for just relaxing and enjoying yourself. It can be a good time for an impromtu party, just don't over-plan it.

However, its not a good time to start anything new. Starting a new project during the Void-of-Course can be fraught with problems. Starting a new job, trading stocks, and even a first date with someone new can all end in disappointment.

Expensive shopping trips are best avoided during the Void-of-Course. Routine stuff is fine, but if you need to buy something important, wait until the moon is in the next sign, otherwise what you buy may not live up to their expectations.

Knowing when the moon is Void-of-Course allows you to plan ahead and arrange for important meetings and expensive purchases to be made successfully as well as making the most of relaxation time.
