The CDMX is the first city in the world to create collectively, from a public tender, a pack of emojis representative of the megalopolis.

Emoji CDMX was a call organized by the Laboratory for the City with the support of The Lift, Mexico Design Week, Studio 7 and the Mexican Open Design as allies.

In this open to all citizens contest around 100 proposals packages emoticons representative of Mexico City were received.

From nearly 2,000 iconic images inspired by CDMX 60 smileys for the first three places of the competition met:

Eduardo Camacho and Pedro Grajeda.
Ivonne Torres and Martin Cook.

140 smileys honorable mentions and a choice of prime minister, Miguel Angel Mancera were also included:
