In this post, I am going to show you how to install Fjellsti (Unreleased) on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.

If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. Fjellsti uses the most detailed maps of Norway. The maps are provided by Kartverket (Norwegian Mapping Authorities). We have also have detailed world maps from Mapbox.
You can use the maps online or offline free of charge. (Free from ads an in-app purchases)

OFFLINE MAPS :
You can download map areas to use when no mobile coverage. When map is used in offline mode it can reduce the internet charges and reduce battery usage. (some traffic may still apply if you do not turn off data roaming and uses flight mode)
It is possible to select an specific area and choose the quality (zoom level) you would like to download.
Kartverket uses raster tiles. So you may need to download normal quality or higher to get the details you need. Mapbox and Fjellsti use vector tiles instead of images, so for them it usually enough with normal quality. You can read more in user manual.

MAP LIMITS :
* On Kartverket and Fjellsti we have set a limit of 50.000 downloaded tiles each day for a specific ip address. If you use the same ip address as others they may use of the same 50.000 limit quota. You can store as many tiles offline as you like. We may change tile count in the future.

* Mapbox has a total limit of 6.000 tiles downloaded. So if you need new area you may have to delete old area to free up the tile count needed for new area.

* This app should not be used for navigation with boat. Then you should use certificated apps only.
