This app uses the Device Administrator permission. This permission is necessary to allow a user to remotely lock their phone.
INSTUCTIONS:
Once downloaded, install the application to your phone. Click on the application icon and the password window will appear. The initial password is blank, so just tapping EXECUTE will open the application control panel. The application will run in the background. Once installed, the user just taps the application icon to pull up the password window, enter the correct password, and the control panel will appear.
APPLICATION CONTROL PANEL:
The control panel is used to set certain variable necessary to remotely control your phone.
TRIGGER NUMBER – This is the ‘backup’ number used to send the text messages to the device with application installed. The phone will only perform these functions by receiving a text containing certain keywords from the TRIGGER NUMBER.
PRIORITY NUMBER – This is a number that the user enters to let that number’s user know his or her phone is lost and to contact them at a different number. For example, an employee needs to relay some important information to her boss. She entered her boss’s number as the PRIORITY NUMBER when she installed the application. A week later she left her phone in her hotel room and her boss needs to immediately reach her. A text message is sent from the TRIGGER PHONE number with the keyword “CALLFWD” and her phone will send a message to her boss, indicating he should contact her at the CALL FORWARDING NUMBER.
CALL FORWARDING NUMBER – This is a number that the user enters as an alternative contact number. This is the number that will be sent to the PRIORITY NUMBER. Please see the example scenario outlined in the PRIORITY NUMBER description.
RESET DEFAULT PASSWORD – The initial password is blank upon installation. Users can create a new password in this field.
***IMPORTANT***
- The TRIGGER NUMBER, PRIORITY NUMBER, and CALL FORWARDING NUMBER must be entered in the control panel prior to the phone being lost or stolen.
- All phone numbers entered in the control panel MUST have the following format: +1(area code) phone number. For example. +13152551358. The ‘+’ sign must be included as a prefix.
