With the UP Manager you can track your time effortlessly, manage your projects and your schedule.
The common advice is to plan one's work. This sounds instantly plausible. The only thing wrong with it is that it rarely works.
"The plans always remain on paper, always remain good intentions. Effective executives, in my observation, do not start with their tasks. They start with their time. And they do not start out with planning. They start by finding out where their time actually goes." - Peter Drucker
UP Manager’s time tracking features attempt to make this highly practical & easy.
The purpose of the UP Manager is to help you to analyze how you spend your time, so you can improve your schedule, be more effective and work with focus on tasks which matter.
One of the most appreciated features during our test phase was Always-Time-Tracking (ATT). If you unlock your phone, select the ATT notification or if you just open the app, you will be asked, how you spend your time since you’ve checked your phone or used the UP Manger app. It takes literally 1 sec to record your time with the UP Manager and you don’t have to think about it.
You can also change the Always-Time-Tracking (ATT) settings:
- You can deactivate or reactivate the unlock feature
- Enable or disable the permanent notification
- Or just enable ATT, if the app is started normally.
If you unlock your phone, select the ATT notification or if you open the app normally, you will be asked, how you spent your time, since you’ve used the app or ATT the last time.
ATT on its own is useful, but in combination with other UP Manager features it becomes even more valuable.
Tasks & Goals:
Here you can manage your projects. You can create a project or a goal and break it down into sub-goals or tasks.
You can track a project as a whole or you can track a subordinate task or goal, if you want to be super precise.
Use the Focus Timer stay on track while recording your time. You can define a work interval and you work with focus only on that selected activity without distractions. After the interval is over you’ll be reminded to do a break. This break time is also recorded.
Schedule:
Here you can break your day down into small chunks and plan your activities in advance, then you can select, if you’ve reached your small goals during the day. The activities, which were recorded with the Focus Timer or ATT will be added to the schedule automatically. Here you can modify or remove those entries.
Win the day!
