Hyundai Digital Key is a new service that allows you to open your car's door and start it using your smartphone's NFC and Bluetooth communications.

The modern digital key app offers features such as door lock / unlock, remote start, emergency alarm, and trunk opening near the vehicle via Bluetooth remote control.

You can also easily share your car keys with your family or acquaintances using the modern digital key app.

 

[main function]

1.door lock / unlock (NFC)

Unlock your smartphone's screen to touch the NFC antenna of your smartphone to the door handle of your vehicle. After digital key authentication via NFC antenna mounted on the door handle

The door is locked / unlocked.

 

2. Engine start (NFC)

Unlock the smartphone key on the wireless charger with integrated NFC antenna in the car, put the smartphone's NFC antenna facing down, press the brake button and press the start button. Startup takes place after digital key authentication.

 

3. Remote control (Bluetooth)

Low-power Bluetooth remote control allows you to lock / unlock the vehicle's door near the vehicle, control emergency alerts and remote start functions.

Remote control can not be controlled at the same time when another user remote control.

1. Vehicle Status Information

You can check the status information of the vehicle you are using as a digital key in the Hyundai Digital Key App.

 

① Driving Information: Cumulative driving distance (km), recent fuel economy (km / L), driving distance (km), fuel level (L)

② Status Information: Tire air pressure, vehicle door lock and open state, trunk open state

   ※ The information displayed is the information when the smartphone that can use the vehicle last NFC or Bluetooth communication with the vehicle.

       Therefore, it may be different from the actual state of the vehicle.

 

2. Vehicle Personalization Settings

On the AVN screen, you can link the digital key with the vehicle user's profile.

    ※ AVN Menu: Settings> User Profile> Digital Key Integration (Smart Phone)

With the smartphone linked with the profile, the side mirror, driver's seat position, AVN settings, etc. are adjusted according to the user's profile when entering the vehicle.

 

[Share function]

Take advantage of the sharing capabilities of modern digital keys to share them with family, friends and colleagues.

 

① Press the digital key sharing button to check the current key sharing status. Up to 3 people can share.

② Press the “+” button to open the digital key sharing setting screen.

③ Enter the real name and phone number of the person who will be sharing the key correctly, check the permission and press the OK button.

④ A letter or a push message issued with a shared key will be sent. The sharer is available after installing the app and signing up.

⑤ You can check the key sharing result and the information of the sharer who received the key on the digital key sharing screen.

-Modern digital key service is only available for Android phone users.

-IPhone is restricted in use according to Apple's NFC non-support policy.

-You can subscribe to Hyundai Digital Key Service after creating a member account on the Hyundai Motor website (www.hyundai.com).

-After downloading and installing the Hyundai Digital Key App, please log in by entering your Hyundai Motor homepage ID / PW.

-Sharer, download and install the Hyundai Digital Key App, please log in by entering the Hyundai Motor homepage ID / PW.

-The sharer can use the modern digital key immediately without any additional procedure to register the key in the vehicle.

-Only the primary user can share the digital key. The sharer, except the primary user, cannot share the digital key with others.

-The provided functions and display information may be changed to improve performance and function depending on the model of the digital key and smartphone app version.
