En 1881, la compagnie établit une école normale dont la finalité est de former des institutrices qui iront donner l’instruction aux enfants dans les villages : 23 petites écoles fleurirent dans la montagne libanaise, celles implantées au Liban nord furent aidées pour l’animation et le financement par la maison de Tripoli.
En 1909, les œuvres grandissent et se diversifient.
1914, c’est la guerre. La maison est réquisitionnée par l’armée turque qui y établit son quartier général. Les sœurs se réfugient à Zghorta où elles prennent la responsabilité d’un dispensaire, avec visite à domicile, puis assez rapidement d’un hôpital de trente lits pour soigner les épidémies, enfin elles se chargent de la distribution de vivres grâce à ce qu’on appelait « fourneau économique ».
1920 : Fin de la guerre et retour des sœurs à Tripoli : les locaux sont dans un état lamentable.
1922 : Les locaux sont restaurés et on peut procéder à l’ouverture d’un orphelinat jugé nécessaire suite à l’hécatombe survenue durant la guerre. Ecole et internat ouvrent leur porte.
Au cours des ans, les œuvres se développent s’adaptant aux circonstances de temps et à l’évolution rapide de la vie sociale, aux mutations de la population, et aux techniques modernes régissant les différentes activités.
Le centre ville se développe et devient de plus en plus un centre commercial avec ce que cela entraîne comme ambiance d’embouteillage, de bruits De là naît le besoin de déménager vers des espaces plus vastes en fonction du développement des activités. Des hectares sont achetés dans le Koura, plus exactement à Btouratige, et la construction des différents pavillons commence.
