Appy Weather is an accurate weather app with hyperlocal hourly and daily forecasts, animated live rain radar, home screen widgets, powerful custom notifications, and a weather tracker for rain and snow alerts, storm watch, UV index, air quality, humidity, cloud cover and more.
Winner of Google Play’s Best Apps of the Year in Everyday Essentials.
The unique Timeline screen summarises what’s coming up in clear, plain language. In just a few lines, you can see what matters today and what to expect next, making checking the weather fast, simple, and genuinely pleasant. If you prefer a more traditional view, detailed hourly and daily forecasts are always available too.
Appy Weather is built around your routine and what matters to you.
With calendar subscriptions, you can follow the weather during the times it’s most important — weekday mornings, school runs, training sessions, weekends, or any regular part of your week — so the forecast stays relevant to your day-to-day.
Smart subscriptions let you track specific, customisable conditions that matter to you, such as rain probability, air quality, UV index, or wind speed. You can see when those conditions are expected over the next week and be notified when they’re met, helping you stay informed without unnecessary noise.
Planning ahead is easier with the comparison tool, which lets you compare days side by side so you can choose the best day for plans, travel, or time outdoors.
With powerful filters, you can focus on the times and details that matter most. View forecasts by morning, afternoon, or night, and surface data points like humidity or feels-like temperature. Appy Weather adapts to what you care about, instead of asking you to dig for it.
Forecasts are powered by trusted weather data providers, including Apple Weather, Foreca, and XWeather, helping deliver accurate and reliable conditions wherever you are.
Appy Weather also offers a rich variety of widgets, with 15 options covering now, today, and the week ahead. Available in sizes from extra-small to large, they’re designed to fit different layouts, so the forecast is always available at a glance on your home screen.
Smart notifications keep you informed in different ways throughout the day — from an ongoing temperature reading and a morning report for today, to an evening heads-up for tomorrow. You can also receive precipitation alerts and daily summaries from your subscriptions, so you know what to expect without needing to constantly check the app.
A real-time radar and severe weather warnings give you a clear view of changing conditions, helping you plan ahead when the weather turns more extreme.
The app is also designed to feel comfortable at any time of day, with a carefully considered dark mode that looks great at night and adapts to your system settings.

Subscriptions
Appy Weather offers multiple subscription tiers, along with a limited lifetime pass. Subscriptions remove ads and unlock premium forecast sources, smart and calendar subscriptions, advanced comparisons, filters, maps, widgets, and notifications.
Privacy-first by design
Appy Weather is privacy-first. It doesn’t collect or process personal data.
Rest easy: Appy Weather is 100% private. If you grant location access, it is used only to retrieve your local forecast. While coordinates are sent securely to our weather providers, they are sent without personal identifiers and are never sold or shared for marketing.
Widgets and notifications may check your location in the background when they’re updated or sent, so forecasts remain relevant to where you are.
Should not crash if you have picked Xweather as your source. It may still however not return the weather, but this is an issue that needs to be fixed from their side and that will be hopefully when this update goes live or soon after.
