The application "Ecodenuncias Canarias" is a tool that aims to facilitate, for citizens and social organizations, in the exercise of their fundamental rights, the generation of environmental complaints in the Canary Islands. It aims to provide citizens with a democratic and participatory instrument to enforce current environmental legislation. The environmental complaint is the instrument of social participation, through which the competent authority will have knowledge of acts, facts and omissions that imply ecological imbalances or damages to the environment.

The application "Ecodenuncias Canarias" is characterized by being a simple and practical tool that allows you to generate an environmental complaint by executing a few steps.

Step 1: The first step is to download and install the application using Google Play or the App Store, depending on the mobile device.

Step 2: Once you have installed the application you can open it directly from the mobile device. To access the application you must register by entering an email and a password, which will allow you to enter the application to generate the environmental complaint.

Step 3: Take a series of georeferenced photos, which make visible the ecological crime and environmental damage, which will be filed in a specific gallery that you can access from the menu to attach it to the final document.

Step 4: Fill in the personal data boxes of the complainant where you can differentiate whether the complaint is in a personal capacity or on behalf of an entity.

Step 5: Fill in boxes of the description of the alleged environmental crime, where you can expose the environment where the alleged environmental crime is committed (urban or natural), type of environmental crime (landfill, urban planning, etc.).

Step 6: Once the draft of the complaint has been prepared, you can save it to continue at a more opportune moment or send it directly. The complaint will be sent to your personal email in a pdf format, prepared to send it to the entities or people you consider appropriate or to present it by registering it. A map of complaints will also be generated on the web, where the complaint will appear anonymously and geo-referenced along with other complaints made through this application.
