The 58th SOBER Congress will be held in the city of Foz do Iguaçu (PR) between August 9th and 13th, 2020. The general theme of this edition will be “Cooperativism, Innovation and Sustainability for Rural Development”.

The differential of this edition will be to use the privileged location of Foz do Iguaçu and encourage the participation of researchers / students / institutions from the triple border (Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina), partners in the organization of the event together with the main public institutions of higher education in Paraná , to make this Edition of SOBER a reference in terms of organization and participation. One of the keywords of the theme of this edition is cooperativism, that is, cooperation between institutions will be highly encouraged and implemented at the 58th SOBER Congress. In addition, the Organizing Committee is making every effort for this edition of the SOBER Congress to be more equitable in relation to the invited speakers: with national, international speakers, from the technical-productive sector, of both genders, from different regions of Brazil and from different institutions. This is expected to encourage broad debates, with different theoretical-practical approaches.

The general objective of the 58th Congress is to provide a favorable environment for discussions that contribute to regional development, based on the Agricultural Sector and on the various links in the production chains and related markets.

In this edition we will have six large panels that should count on the participation and contribution of important names from the national and international scene to debate the themes of the congress from a perspective of rural economics, administration and sociology. With that, there will be time for the debates in the big panels, meeting the demands of the associates.
