"Merciful Lianghuangbao Repentance" was originally named [Mercy Daochang Repentance]. It is known as "The King of Repentance". It was collected by Emperor Wu of Liang who believed in Buddhism and invited Zen Master Zhigong and eminent monks, so it was commonly called "Lianghuangbao Repentance". Emperor Liang Wu tried to build a temple, studied the teachings of Buddhism throughout his life, and adhered to the precepts, so he was known as the "Emperor Bodhisattva". The Baozheng has been passed down from the Liang Dynasty in China for more than a thousand years. It is a commonly used book for the establishment of Buddhist temples and Dafa conferences. It is also the largest of all the confessions and is highly respected.

The Origin of "Liang Huangbao Repentance"
"Liang Huangbao Repentance" is a collection of Emperor Liang Wu of the Southern Dynasty for the Empress Xi's family. The origin was a few months after Empress Xi's death. One day when Emperor Wu of Liang was about to go to bed, he heard a riot outside, so he went out to see that it turned out to be a big python, and looked at him with wide eyes. At this time Emperor Wu was shocked, not knowing what to do, and said to the snake: "My palace is strictly guarded. It is not the place where your snake was born. You must be a monster." The snake said to Emperor Wu, "I am you. The queen of Xi, the concubine, because she liked to fight for favor during her lifetime, was often angry and jealous, and her temperament was venomous and hurting others, so she fell into the body of a snake after death. Now there is no food to eat, and no cave to shelter her. And there are many insects in each piece of scale, which is really painful. Because of the deep love of the emperor for his concubine, I dare to show the ugly appearance in front of you. I hope to pray for some merits and get out of the body of the python. "The snake disappeared after speaking.
Emperor Wu told Zen Master Zhigong about this situation. The Zen Master told Emperor Wu of Liang: "You must pay tribute to the Buddha to repent to cleanse your sins." Then Emperor Wu asked Zen Master Zhigong to search for the Buddhist scriptures, extract the name of the Buddha, and write confessions based on the Buddhist scriptures. Written in ten volumes. Then Emperor Wu repented for the empress in accordance with the confession book. One day, he suddenly smelled a strange fragrance all over the room, which lasted for a long time. Emperor Wu raised his head and saw a person, Rong Yi Duanli, and said to him, "I am the back of the python. I have been surpassed by the emperor for doing meritorious deeds for me, so I am now overwhelmed by the heavens. I am here to thank you today." It's gone.
From the Liang Dynasty to the present for more than a thousand years, as long as you confess the text in this way, respectfully confess, and reflect on your changes, you will not have hatred or jealousy, and you will be washed away with the water of compassion and wisdom. , The karma is eliminated, the root of goodness grows, the body and mind are clean, and the body is safe and auspicious.
