The Brazilian Football Championship, also known as Campeonato Brasileiro, Brasileirão and Série A, is the Brazilian professional football league among Brazilian clubs, being the main football competition in the country. Due to the historical peculiarities and the great geographic dimension of the country, Brazil has a relatively short history of national soccer competitions.
