Kaohsiung Teeth Association

The full name of this association is "Kaohsiung City Dental Association", the English name is "Kaohsiung Dental Association of the ROC", referred to as "KDA".

The predecessor of the Kaohsiung City Dental Association was the Kaohsiung Dental Doctors Association, which was created by the Japanese during the Japanese occupation. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War (August 15, 1945), Mr. Xiao Rui'an, on behalf of the Taiwanese dentists, took over and completed the reorganization from the Japanese. At the same time, he was renamed the "Kaohsiung City Dental Association" and served as the first, second and third. Chairman of the board.

On June 16, 1949, the Kaohsiung City Association of Dental Physicians was changed into the Kaohsiung City Dental Association. And the report was submitted to the Kaohsiung City Government's Social Section for approval. The certificate of the case at the time was no longer acceptable. On March 8, 1988, when the certificate of the people's group was reissued, its certificate number was No. 765, Takashisha, and the date of its establishment was June 16, 1949 (1949).

The Kaohsiung City Dentist Association was originally affiliated to the Taiwan Provincial Association of Dentists. In the 67th year of the Republic of China (1978), Kaohsiung City was changed to a municipality. The Association established the first Kaohsiung City Dentist Association after the reorganization of Kaohsiung City in November of the Republic of China (1979), and was elected as the first chairman of the board by Dr. Chen Wenshun.

Most of the members of the Early Physicians Association were dentists who had returned to Taiwan from Japan. At that time, the number of members was small, and the guild changed the venue with the replacement of the chairman. Until the 13th session before the reorganization, as the number of members grew to nearly 100, he and other industry associations shared the office of Rongan Street in the former Jinan District, and jointly hired Mr. Zhuang Yan as the Director General. In the 73rd year of the Republic of China (1984), the number of members grew to three or four. The original office location was not enough. After all members' efforts to raise funds, the board of directors of Huang Zhian purchased the 60-pyeong hall on the 2nd floor of No. 41 Ziqiang Road. It was officially opened on December 23 of the year. Since then, the Dentist Association has its own clubhouse (Source: 40th Anniversary Special Issue Kaohsiung City Dental Association Reconstruction Third Review Huang Zhian). In the 83rd year of the Republic of China (1994), the number of dentists reached 696. In order to improve the medical ability and knowledge of members, the guild urgently needs a more spacious hall to hold academic activities. In the work of Sun Minglong and the 8th Governor of the Board of Supervisors, the new clubhouse on the 11th floor of No. 21, No. 21, Yixin 2nd Road, was opened on October 22, 1994 (1995). At present, the Kaohsiung City Dentist Association has been a large group of more than 1,000 people.
Looking at the history of the guild in this half century, each period plays a different role due to the different backgrounds of time and space.
